Privacy Policy

The short version: LoanSage doesn't need an account, doesn't show ads, and doesn't sell your data. The numbers you enter stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We only receive what you choose to send us: a scenario you share, an email address you sign up with, or a message you write to us.
This policy covers the LoanSage iPhone app and the website at loansage.app (together, "LoanSage"). Both are run by MaSoft LLC, a Florida company ("we", "us").
What we collect
In the app
- Your scenarios. Home prices, loan amounts, rates and anything else you enter are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for LoanSage, they sync through your own iCloud account. That data is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and we can't see it.
- Requests to our server. When the app connects to our server (for example to create a share link), your device sends standard technical information such as its IP address. We use it only to answer the request and protect the service from abuse.
- Analytics and crash reports. We don't use any third-party analytics or tracking tools in the app. If you've chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple gives us aggregated usage statistics and crash reports. These don't identify you.
When you share a scenario
Tapping Share uploads that scenario to our server so it can be shown at a loansage.app/share link. The upload includes the scenario's title, the property address and listing link if you entered them, the loan figures and dates, and the app version.
- Anyone who has the link can see it, so only share what you're comfortable showing to the people you send it to. Shared pages are hidden from search engines.
- Shared scenarios stay online until you ask us to remove them, so the link keeps working for the people you sent it to. To delete one, email us the link.
On the website
- Newsletter. If you sign up, we store your email address and, if you answer it, when you're planning to buy a home. We use them to send you the emails you asked for and to choose which ones are relevant to you. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Messages to us. If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
- Cookies. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
We use this information only to run LoanSage: to show shared scenarios, send the newsletter, answer your messages, fix bugs and keep the service secure.
We don't sell your personal information and don't share it for targeted advertising.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers. Each handles data only on our behalf and only for the purpose listed:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or of LoanSage. If LoanSage is ever sold or merged into another company, this policy will continue to apply to information collected under it.
How long we keep it
- Shared scenarios: kept until you ask us to delete them.
- Newsletter details: kept until you unsubscribe, then removed from our mailing list.
- Emails you send us: kept only as long as we need them to help you.
- Server logs: kept for a short period under our hosting providers' standard log retention.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of any email.
- Ask for a copy of, a correction to, or deletion of the information we hold about you by emailing contact@loansage.app. We'll reply within 30 days.
- Delete your scenarios in the app at any time. They're stored on your device and in your own iCloud.
Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we collect and to have it deleted. We honour those requests the same way, and we won't treat you differently for making one.
Children
LoanSage is meant for adults planning a home purchase. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict access to our systems, and keep the data we hold to a minimum. No service can promise perfect security, but we'll tell affected users promptly if a breach involves their information.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. If we make a significant change, such as collecting a new kind of information, we'll say so at the top of this page before it takes effect and email newsletter subscribers.
